The Trust was established by Vietnam veterans to help the children of Vietnam veterans. If you are the child or grandchild of a New Zealand Vietnam veteran and need financial support to help you reach a particular life goal, the Trust may be able to assist.

It is important that we all continue to support the Trust. The Vietnam War occurred a long time ago, and the current generation of soldiers is more familiar with Bosnia, Somalia, Bouganville and East Timor. But those commitments in Vietnam must never be forgotten.

Since its inception in 1993, the Trust has approved a large number of grants covering the whole spectrum of youth endeavour. Grants are relatively modest as the Trustees have a policy of spreading the net wide so that the greatest number of young people can benefit. Nevertheless, I know that for many, the support received was crucial in enabling them to attain success.
